Spinelli Terra D'Aligi

Today, brothers Carlo and Adriano Spinelli run the family wine business. Spinelli owns 40 hectares of vineyards, 20 of which are the Santa Margherita site, which is responsible for the Terra d'Aligi wines. Spinelli wines are known for power and grace. In a region dominated by large co-ops, Spinelli is one of the most important family owned wineries.

"Tatone" Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, DOC

"Tatone" in the Abruzzese dialect means grandfather, the most prestigious and respected family member in the countryside of Abruzzo.

After a long fermentation in small vats, the wine is transferred to small oak casks of Slavonian origin for one year of additional aging. After bottling, "Tatone" is further refined in the bottle for 6 months. The result is a complex, rich, dry red.

Cerasuolo, DOC

Cerasuolo comes entirely from the Santa Margherita vineyard area, located in Lanciano, about 650 feet above sea level, with a southeast exposure. Annual production is limited to less than 4,000 cases.

Cerasuolo wines take their name from the word "cerasa", the local dialect for cherries. This fresh, fruity, dry, blush wine is versatile and should be enjoyed young.
